Time on PDP. Shoppers try color, size, and fit variants without ever leaving the page — the kind of engagement a photo carousel can't create.
Let shoppers try it on before they buy.
A virtual fitting room on every product page — shoppers see the fit in seconds, add to cart with confidence, and send back far less. Plus AI on-model imagery and scenes, from the photos you already have.

Shoppers can't tell if it'll fit. So they hesitate — or send it back.
On a static product page, every apparel shopper is guessing: will it fit, will it look right on me? Most won't risk it and bounce. The ones who buy send 20–40% of it back. Fit doubt is the tax on every fashion PDP — and no number of extra photos removes it.

Fit uncertainty
Photos show the product, not the shopper. "Will it fit me?" goes unanswered — and unanswered questions become abandoned carts.
- 0220–40% / apparel
Return rates
Apparel returns run 20–40%, mostly "it didn't look like I expected." Every return eats the margin the sale just earned.

Static PDPs
A photo carousel can't answer the question that closes the sale — how does it look on me? So shoppers leave to picture it elsewhere.
- 04$3k–$10k / shoot
Imagery grind
And keeping PDPs fresh still means shoots, models, and retouching every season — the slow, expensive way to fill the gap photos leave.
The widget that turns browsers into buyers.
Fashion PDPs lose shoppers to fit doubt. The app's on-page widget closes the gap in 8 seconds — no modal, no redirect, no new tab.
Add-to-cart rate on variants shoppers tried on. Seeing yourself in the product removes the last objection before the cart.
Return rate on fashion SKUs. Photo-realistic fit preview turns "not as expected" returns into confident first-time buys.
It restocks your imagery, too.
The same catalog and credits also turn one product photo into on-model shots, scenes, and social-ready creative. Drag each slider — every render ships at 512 / 1K / 2K / 4K.

Common questions
Do credits expire?
Subscription credits reset at the start of each billing period — unused credits do not roll over. Credit Pack credits are different: once purchased, they never expire, even if you cancel your subscription. Most merchants subscribe for baseline volume and top up with packs during busy launch weeks.
Who owns the generated images?
You do. Any output derived from your own product images is yours to use, license, and publish — subject to the underlying third-party rights of any people or branded items captured in your source photos. We do not claim any ownership stake in your renders, and we do not reuse them in any marketing of our own without explicit permission.
Are customer photos used for AI training?
No. Customer photos uploaded via the Try-On widget are stored in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket, accessed only through 1-hour signed URLs, and automatically purged within 24 hours. They are never shared with our AI providers for training, and EXIF/GPS metadata is stripped on upload. We also honor Shopify's GDPR webhooks — customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact — out of the box.
Do you comply with Meta/Instagram rules for Publisher?
Yes. Publisher connects to Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest via official OAuth flows. Tokens are AES-256-GCM encrypted at rest, scoped to the minimum permissions needed, and revocable at any time from inside PopSmart AI Virtual Try On or from the platform's native app settings. See /data-deletion for details on how we handle revocation and account removal.
Can the app reduce return rates?
Clothing return rates on Shopify are typically 20–40% — mostly because shoppers can't tell how something will look on them. Merchants using the Virtual Try-On widget consistently see lower clothing return rates because shoppers get a realistic preview before buying. Actual impact varies by category, sizing accuracy, and how prominently you surface the widget on the PDP.
What is the difference between monthly and annual plans?
Annual plans are billed once upfront at a 20% discount compared to monthly. To keep your cap predictable, annual plan credits are granted on a 30-day drip schedule rather than as one giant lump sum — so your monthly cap still resets predictably, you just lock the lower price for the year.
Subscription or Credit Pack?
Subscribe when volume is predictable — for example, you run a fashion store with a steady stream of new SKUs. Buy Credit Packs when usage is seasonal, campaign-driven, or bursty. Packs never expire, so they work well as a buffer for launch weeks, holiday campaigns, or one-time catalog refreshes.
Does the app work with my theme?
Yes. The Virtual Try-On widget ships as a Theme App Extension, which means it's a block you add from the Shopify theme editor — no Liquid edits, no theme code changes, no risk of breaking an existing theme on update. It works on every theme that supports app blocks (all Online Store 2.0 themes).
How long does one image take to render?
Render times depend on resolution. 512px previews complete in ~3 seconds, 1K in ~8 seconds, 2K in ~12 seconds, and 4K in ~15 seconds. Most merchants preview at 512 or 1K to iterate quickly, then only spend credits on 4K for the final hero shot or print-ready asset.
